I have decided that on this "will of God" study will consist of four passages each day. There are so many to check into, that I don't want to overwhelm myself with a whole bunch of passages each day.

1st John 2:15-17
Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world—the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.

Doing God's will gives the result of eternal life. Loving the world is not the will of God.
Exodus 18:13-16
Exodus 18:13-16
The next day Moses took his seat to serve as judge for the people, and they stood around him from morning till evening. When his father-in-law saw all that Moses was doing for the people, he said, "What is this you are doing for the people? Why do you alone sit as judge, while all these people stand around you from morning till evening?"
Moses answered him, "Because the people come to me to seek God's will. Whenever they have a dispute, it is brought to me, and I decide between the parties and inform them of God's decrees and laws."
Moses answered him, "Because the people come to me to seek God's will. Whenever they have a dispute, it is brought to me, and I decide between the parties and inform them of God's decrees and laws."
People sought out Moses because he knew what God's will was. Wise people are sought out because they know God's will.
Mark 3:31-35
Then Jesus' mother and brothers arrived. Standing outside, they sent someone in to call him. A crowd was sitting around him, and they told him, "Your mother and brothers are outside looking for you."
"Who are my mother and my brothers?" he asked.
Then he looked at those seated in a circle around him and said, "Here are my mother and my brothers! Whoever does God's will is my brother and sister and mother."
God's family consist of people who do the will of God.
John 7:14-18
Not until halfway through the Feast did Jesus go up to the temple courts and begin to teach. The Jews were amazed and asked, "How did this man get such learning without having studied?"
Jesus answered, "My teaching is not my own. It comes from him who sent me. If anyone chooses to do God's will, he will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own. He who speaks on his own does so to gain honor for himself, but he who works for the honor of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him."

People who want to do God's will search for it. They study out the teachings of JC. There are two types of people in this passage: The one who speaks to gain honor for himself and the one who speaks to gain honor for God. There isn't someone in the middle (or gray area) in this passage.
God's will is more and more clear as I study this out. I am really enjoying this study. I kinda wish I didn't wait so long to do this thing... but I did. At least I am studying it out now. Johnny Out.
