My Son and I

what day is it
and in what month
this clock never seemed so alive
I can't keep up
and I can't back down
I've been losing so much time
cause it's you and me and all of the people
with nothing to do
nothing to lose
and it's you and me and all of the people
and I don't know why
I can't keep my eyes off of you
all of the things that I want to say
just aren't coming out right
I'm tripping inwards
you got my head spinning
I don't know where to go from here
cause it's you and me and all of the people
with nothing to do nothing to prove
and it's you and me and all of the people
and I don't know why
I can't keep my eyes off of you
there's something about you now
I can't quite figure out
everything he does is beautiful
everything he does is right
you and me and all of the people
with nothing to do
nothing to lose
and it's you and me and all of the people
and I don't know why
I can't keep my eyes off of you
you and me and all of the people
with nothing to do nothing to prove
and it's you and me and all of the people
and I don't know why
I can't keep my eyes off of you
what day is it
and in what month
this clock never seemed so alive

(Song by Lifehouse - substituting he in place for she, of course)

Luke 20:34-38

34 Jesus replied, "The people of this age marry and are given in marriage. 35 But those who are considered worthy of taking part in that age and in the resurrection from the dead will neither marry nor be given in marriage, 36 and they can no longer die; for they are like the angels. They are God's children, since they are children of the resurrection. 37 But in the account of the bush, even Moses showed that the dead rise, for he calls the Lord 'the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.' 38 He is not the God of the dead, but of the living, for to him all are alive."

This song, I started to sing to my son one night and for whatever reason, I decided that it was "our" song... people get songs to symbolize relationships for courting and dating and all that, and I thought, what is it to keep me from doing that for a relationship between me and my son? I love my son. He is just the apple of my eye. I never thought I would have these feelings for someone other than my wife and God, but I really love this boy. And time does slip by with him, and that is such a blessing. When you are at work, time drags on and on, but when you are having fun, it goes by nice and easy. That is the way it should be with God, your spouse, and family. Thought I would share this. Johnny Out.

Good morning brothers how is everyone this morning? I am fired up and ready to fight another day. I am very tired though, that is definetly one of my triggers and I am going to be on guard for sure. It is weird because I read
that this morning in 1 Corinthians 10:12-13. I think I am standing firm so I AM going to watch out. This weekend was awesome, we had a great service down south and encouraged me to get the to know the hands on God who wants
to be intimate with us. I had a bad thing happen last night, my car broke down on me again. I have no idea what is wrong with that thing. The bad thing that happened in that was my anger flared up and I threw my keys and
lashed out in an unrighteous way. I repent and crucify that. I am finally done with training and I can finally get back to consistant emails to the fellas. Thank you so much for your emails and calls during the training week. I have one store now so I can focus on that store. I love all of you
and I pray that all of you has a great day and a great week. CR guys see you tonight. Also a reminder, Bible study at my house as usual Tuesday at 7:30pm. Please join us for a great time in Gods word. I love all of you
and I pray that all of you has a great day, God bless.

1 Corinthians 10:12-13
So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall! No
temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful;
he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are
tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

Good Morning, I hope your weekend was filled with victory. I feel mine was. Only because of my time in God's word and prayer, and the realness and joy that brings to all of my relationships. Taking communion was great as well, and made me really aware of my need to be grateful and deny myself as Jesus so willingly did. Communion revealed to me that Jesus just didn't deny himself just to deny himself, he did it for me. I want to take that and deny myself for Jesus. Not just for my own victory. I have been reading in Nehemiah, and it's chocked full of history, which is great for my intellect but my heart still needs cutting, so I find myself always going back to the NT at times. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of truths and guidance in Nehemiah and the OT is very fresh to me, because I haven't explored so much of it. I am in Neh 4, and it's teaching me how God's people can work together, sometimes with out much rest, to build and protect the church (in Neh. it's the city of Jerusalem and it's walls). It also is showing me that Satan is relentless and is angered when we rebuild or build up the church and he will constantly try to keep us in fear and thwart our work for God. I can't wait to go on and see God's complete victory, or at least that is what I am expecting to see. It's so cool to see how ALL of God's word is used for teaching and encouragement, and correction.

Someone sent me the below little "daily heartwarmer" It seems right on from my reading it and thinking about it. It talks about submitting to God. It also reminded me of Mt 6:33.

See you guys tonight (CR).

God's Condition for Blessing
Romans 12:1-2

If people were really honest, many would say their Christianity barely resembles the existence God has promised. They struggle repeatedly with the same sins, complain that God rarely answers prayers, and wonder why He hasn't given them the desires of their heart. However, most believers never stop to ask, Why doesn't God favor me?

The answer to that question can revolutionize our lives if we are willing to meet God's one condition for full blessing. We are designed with a capacity to experience the Lord's best in every area of life, but for that to happen, we must offer ourselves as living sacrifices. In other words, we are to be separated from the world and given to God for His purposes.

Don't be fooled by cultural views on servants. God does not call the weak into bondage to the strong. In fact, believers are the freest people in the world because we can trust our Father to give us the very best in return for our commitment. His best may not always look appealing from the outset, but experience teaches us that He orchestrates all circumstances to our benefit.

We can never be satisfied with less than God's best. Avoiding submission will result in wasted years of chasing after His blessing through our own cunning. On the other hand, our hearts are saturated with joy and peace when we draw close to our heavenly Father. The best way to connect with God is to willingly put ourselves in His hand. Allow God to reveal what great blessings He can send via your surrendered will.

Dear Brothers,

I wanted to tell you all that "I love you all" I am grateful that God put each and everyone on you in my life at the right season. I wanted to invite you all to a movie/date night on Sept. 10th, we brothers get together how awesome it would be for the married men, soon to be married men, dating men and us the single men to encourage the women and friends in our life that encourage us to fight the battle. This Saturday is the 1st Sat after seminar and thought it would be a fun night out to just relax and get to know each others spouses and friends. Can't wait to see you all tonight....oh by the way a pretty humbling email I got from a brother I wanted to share with you all....

Several years ago a preacher moved to Houston, Texas.

Some weeks after he arrived, he had occasion to ride the bus from his home to the downtown area. When he sat down, he discovered that the driver had accidentally given him a quarter too much change.

As he considered what to do, he thought to himself, you better give the quarter back. It would be wrong to keep it. Then he thought, "Oh, forget it, it's only a quarter. Who would worry about this little amount?

Anyway the bus company already gets too much fare; they will never miss it. Accept it as a gift from God and keep quiet."

When his stop came, he paused momentarily at the door, then he handed the quarter to the driver and said, "Here, you gave me too much change."

The driver with a smile, replied, "Aren't you the new preacher in town? I have been thinking lately about going to worship somewhere. I just wanted to see what you would do if I gave you too much change."

When my friend stepped off the bus, he literally grabbed the nearest light pole, and held on, and said, "O God, I almost sold your Son for a quarter."

Our lives are the only Bible some people will ever read.
