Proverbs 11:2
2 When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.
Proverbs 13:10
10 Pride only breeds quarrels, but wisdom is found in those who take advice.
Proverbs 16:18-21
18 Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall. 19 Better to be lowly in spirit and among the oppressed than to share plunder with the proud. 20 Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers, and blessed is he who trusts in the LORD. 21 The wise in heart are called discerning, and pleasant words promote instruction.

Jesus was a humble person. He didn’t let others walk all over them. When he saw sin in other people’s life, he called them out, depending on how they needed to hear it. A Pharisee on one hand Jesus would rebuke a bit strong. Someone low in statue, say the cheating woman the people wanted to stone, he let their heart take care of that, and then the woman he simply encouraged her to change her lifestyle. I think with humility, the key is respect. I wouldn’t go right out and boom rebuke everyone I see. Too “in your face” will just push people away from God. Discerning the people and distinguishing what they need to hear is very key. I honestly am not good at that. I do not have the most pleasant mouth. I am working on it. Jesus was the absolute master at it. He could read the people and know what was in the hearts of man. He knew who to rebuke hard and he knew when to encourage and he knew when the right time to do this and that. My sister says that I am too religious. Strange thing is that I don’t shove Jesus down people’s throats like I used to. I have changed my approach and I just let go and let God. When the time comes, that’s when I share my faith. I know I should do it more than I do it now, and I hope to incorporate what I used to do into my current life, but right now I have more excuses than heart. I need to “honor as holy; glorify” or bless those around me. God is not the only one who blesses. I can bless others by honoring God with his commands. I need to do this. I haven’t been and it convicts me. Anyway, see you all again tomorrow. Johnny Out.
